In the past few years hundreds of apps came into existence especially those with short video format and with that millions of new content creators came into existence. However, there are some do’s and dont’s that you need to follow while uploading videos such as removing any personal identifying information of yours or someone else’s that includes a person’s face, their personal details such as phone number, mobile, email, their private information like their address, number plate and in some cases if there’s a minor involved you can get in legal trouble or get your video removed from the video website that you have uploaded your video on.

In such cases, hiding personally identifying information is a good idea. There are many apps that you can use to blur and hide any personal identifying information.

For the sake of this tutorial, i’ll be using Wondershare Filmora, as of writing this article Wondershare Filmora 11 is the current version and this tutorial will probably work in upcoming releases as well.

How to Blur Faces, Information in Video

  1. Open Wondershare Filmora and Create a new project with your aspect ratio.
  2. Import Media to Wondershare Filmora
  3. Drag and Drop the Video on the Timeline.
  4. Select the part that you want to hide information and trim the video before and after 5 seconds.
  5. Double click on the Trimmed part and Enable motion tracking.
  6. Select the part that you want to trim and adjust the square boxes.
  7. Once you’re done adjusting, click on start tracking.
  8. You will see a dropdown, Select Mosaic and choose a style of blur
  9. You can also use any image instead of Mosaic > Blur
